Background

My career has taken me to places all over Nova Scotia, and across Canada to places like Fredericton New Brunswick, Whitecourt, Hinton, Grande Cache and Fort MacMurray Alberta, the Muskoka Region in Ontario, and the areas of Loon Straits and Bloodvein Manitoba with turned down opportunities in Oregon and the Cayman Islands

With the opportunities listed above, I have been very fortunate to work in a field where I can combine all my skills into my curent passion of proviing information technology and GIS analysis in the Forest Protection discipline. Working in this field has allowed my to be published in a number of products.

Nova Scotia Public Wildfire Dashboard

This is a basic dashboard that shows the wildfire situation in Nova Scotia. In late May, the province had devastating wildfires, worst in the provinces history. While we were getting National and International news, this dashboard was silently contributing with 4.7 million clicks in the first 5 days
